Over the weekend of April 7-9, 2023 when Easter Retreats were being held locally across the region, Olivet Assembly of Southeast Asia (OA SEA) churches were deeply encouraged to witness scores of newcomers joining their retreats as they meditated deeply on the meaning of the Cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Throughout the retreats, numerous newcomers were led to meditate on the deep love and obedience of Christ that was revealed on the Cross as they mostly meditated on a series of Bible lectures that were delivered from John 13-20 that explained deeply about the Farewell Sermon of Christ, His path toward the Cross and eventual resurrection.
Apart from Bible lectures, various activities such as small group sharing and prayer meetings were also held as the attendants deepened their understanding on the lectures that were heard, while being mutually encouraged through the time of fellowship and prayer.
May the spirit of the Cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ overflow across all OA SEA churches, as they seek to take up their cross daily and follow Him in their efforts to proclaim the Good News of the Lord’s salvation across their respective mission fields and beyond.
