Beginning from Pentecost Sunday, May 28, 2023 till June 2, 2023, the second Olivet Leadership Institute (OLI) Leadership Training session of 2023 that was held in the Olivet Center Southeast Asia which gathered over 40 leaders across the continent.
During the Closing Service, Pastor Tertius Liew, the General Secretary of Olivet Assembly of Southeast Asia (OA SEA), delivered the message centering on Acts 28:23-31, emphasizing that as the history of God is being led by the Holy Spirit, no one can ever stop its advancement to the ends of the earth.
With such awareness, the leaders were encouraged to demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit that would transform lives of many and not rely on their own wisdom or persuasive words (1 Corinthians 2:1-5); while diligently seeking for those who are prepared and not being confined by those who are not. Just as Apostle Paul who preached the Word day and night despite facing those who were unconvinced of his teaching; they too, should not be discouraged by people’s rejection, but persistently teach the Word boldly without hindrance.
Over the 6-day period of the training, the leaders have been challenged to follow the footsteps of the apostles and the Early Church through deep reflection of the Bible lectures on Acts, in addition to various workshops that exposed them to the fundamentals of prayer, evangelism and discipleship. Moreover, they also had the opportunity to listen to inspiring testimonies from experienced OA SEA missionaries on the field.
May every participating leader be ignited by the training to preach forth Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God widely without hindrance in their respective mission fields, toward paving the way for the Gospel to be spread across the continent, including the 357 million who are unreached and awaiting the opportunity to hear the life-changing message of salvation.
